Finally Found
July 20, 2014

I know it’s been awhile since it dropped, but I looked up and realized I never did a post for the release of my latest mixtape The Found Tape. For those who never knew, I was heavily influenced by the 90s New York sound when I got interested in hip hop, particularly Nas and Wu-Tang Clan. So it was only right after receiving a lot of comparisons to Nas that I would pay homage on a project that utilized different beats across his wide body of material. I actually had fun making the tape… Never really felt like working at any point. Only feature on the whole thing outside of pre-recorded samples was my Nightbreed Entertainment label-mate, CG on 2 cuts. But lots of positive reviews from people who have heard it, haven’t heard anything bad even to this day. Read the full bio and download it here:

King Toot Un- Common

The video for the Sunset Terr song “King Tut” from the double disc-album Sunrize:

So this video honestly wasn’t the most creative thing I ever did, but I had fun with it (as evidenced by dressing like the modern-day Jesus). Shoutout to Larry J. King for the added inspiration. In looking back almost a year after the shoot, I can say without a doubt, this was the turning point in my artistry in terms of image and representation. I see a lot of uninspired videos or visuals that lack any real “creative muscle”, only serving as another platform to present a song that the artist themself picked as a “hot single”, bouncing around with no shirt on in front of a camera, walking around in the city, a bunch of guys in a house holding guns…. Real good stuff.  I decided that I wanted to represent something a lot more heroic and attainable than that. But anyways, I hope you all enjoy it and feel free to leave comments below.

The Sun Has Rizen!!!
July 31, 2012

The long-awaited sophomore album from the throwback hip-hop group Sunset Terr(ace) is available now on Itunes, CDBaby, and Amazon!!! The double-disc album titled “Sunrize” comes out in an era where less is more in terms of quantity of music on an album…. The average album in 2012 has between 12 and 15 cuts, but “Sunrize” is packed with 29 of the dopest hip-hop tracks assembled by me, Tilden, and LK to date. The premise behind the album is that Disc 1 is entirely produced by Tilden Dexter, while Disc 2 is composed primarily of compositions created by LK, with both discs featuring me pretty heavy (23 out of 29 of the total tracks). What’s the catch? I debut a new alias/rhyme style on Disc 1 which makes use of a flowing technique familiar to poets called stream-of-consciousness delivery in certain instances, as well as a deeper use of complex metaphors. Let’s be clear about this: Jay Biggz is Hip-Hop…. I didn’t get into this mainly from watching 106 or seeing a bunch of n****z hop around on screen with gold and diamond jewels. I really LOVE this sh*t. *PSA over* Disc 2 is the Jay Biggz that everyone knows and loves (and most importantly respects).

If you haven’t done so already, check out the video for the lead single “Archways”
